PETERSON'S De Luxe 8S

PETERSON’S De Luxe 8S

Ireland, 1978

Deluxe edition of the world famous, extremely popular and already iconic Peterson’s System pipe. The pipe was made in 1978, what is indicated by the lower case “m” hallmark on the silver collar. A great addition to every pipe collection!

The pipe markings are “PETERSON’S \ DE LUXE”, “MADE IN THE \ REPUBLIC \ OF IRELAND \ 8S”, “Peterson’s \ DUBLIN”, “STERLING \ SILVER”, “m”. The length is 12.0 cm (4.72″) and the bowl’s height is 4.6 cm (1.81″). External diameter of the bowl is 3.0 cm (1.18″), internal diameter is 1.7 cm (0.67″). The depth is 3.4 cm (1.34″) and this pipe weighs 45 gr. Briar, vulcanite stem, patented air cooler. It seems the previous owner tried to file the tennon for some inexplicable reason, so it works now rather as a spigot. But it is reliable enough.
