NORTHERN BRIARS Extra Special

England, 2011

We are thrilled to have finally added Ian Walker’s Northern Briars Extra Special pipe to our collection. This particular pipe features a distinctive, combined finish that some refer to as “oriental”. While this design may not be Ian’s original creation, similar finishes were used on John Redman’s Redonian pipes in the mid-20th century. However, the Northern Briars version exudes a particularly luxurious and captivating aesthetic.

Pipe markings “NORTHERN BRIARS \ EXTRA SPECIAL”, “(5)”, “HAND MADE IN \ ENGLAND 11”
Length 15.8 cm (6.22″)
Bowl Height 5.5 cm (2.16″)
Outside Dimensions 4.2 x 4.8 cm (1.65 x 1.87″)

Chamber Depth 4.2 cm (1.65″)

Briar, vulcanite stem, no filter. The shank has a small, neat crack, but the fancy silver collar keeps everything secure.

The pipe was accurately smoked, it has been thoroughly cleaned, polished, sanitized and now is ready for a new life.
