Denmark
The origin of the Jobey brand is a kind of a mystery. The most probably the company was founded in the beginning of the XX century, but there is a contradictory opinion about a mother country of Jobey pipes. Most sources believe Jobey was an English founded company switched soon to production in USA. Some other enthusiasts found a saga story of Jobey brothers from Brooklyn. Regardless its origin the company changed a number of owners and producers in the course of time. In 1970s the majority of Jobey pipes were manufactured in St Claude, France. But at the same time a series of fabulous free hand pipes of a really Danish style were made in Denmark, most probably by Karl Erik Ottendahl – Jobey DANSK.
