Danish carver Preben Holm was perhaps the most bright and inspiring person in history of pipe making. He sold his first pipes before his 16 birthday. Preben Holm was one of most significant inventors and developers of “Danish pipe design” and many smokers and enthusiasts respect him as a father of freehand pipes. “Monte Verdi” was a quite rare Preben Holm series but sincerely respected by collectors for their very unusual finish. In this case the carving remind something similar to a dinosaur skin. A really collectable work of art!

The pipe markings are “MONTE VERDI \ Golden Tan \ HAND MADE \ IN \ DENMARK”. The length is 17.0 cm (6.69″), bowl’s height is 5.0 cm (1.97″). External diameter of the bowl is 5.3 cm (2.09″), internal diameter is 2.2 cm (0.87″). The depth is 4.1 cm (1.61″) and this pipe weights 65 gr. Briar, acrylic stem, no filter. The chamber has been protected with a break-in coat.
