DUNHILL Shell Briar 4110

DUNHILL Shell Briar 4110

England, 1996

The pipe is relatively young in comparison to other pipes, which we offer. It was made in 1996 and has been quite moderately smoked, so it needed rather a refresh than a restoration. We would like also to draw your attention to the really comfortable size (the middle range Group size 4 is perfect for English and oriental mixtures) and very practical shape: billiards are always the best pipes in terms of easy smoking and maintaining (cleaning), but a sitter billiard is undoubtedly the highly comfortable smoker!

The pipe marking is “4110”, “(dunhill)” “SHELL BRIAR \ MADE IN ENGLAND 36”. The length is 13.9 cm (5.47″), bowl’s height is 4.4 cm (1.73″). External diameter of the bowl is 3.6 cm (1.42″), internal diameter is 1.9 cm (0.75″). The depth is 3.8 cm (1.5″) and this pipe weights 40 gr. Briar, vulcanite stem, no filter.

By the…

England, 1979 In the beginning Dunhill created Bruyere. And several years (1910-1917) it was the single brand made by the company of a firm and dense Calabrian briar. And though pre WWII “bruyeres” were marked just by a letter “A” instead of model, the Bruyere series is the one of the oldest long-livers not only…
