England, 1960s

An exquisite example of the Charatan’s carvers art made in 1960s under the Ben Wade trade mark! Initially Ben Wade was an old good English family manufactory. Soon after the WWII the brand was acquired by Lane Ltd from USA, the producer of fantastic Charatan’s pipes at that time. And we’re pleased to represent one of these “Charatan’s era” Ben Wade pipes – lightweight and comfortable stylish English poker from 1960s!

External diameter of the bowl is 3.8 cm (1.5″), internal diameter is 2.2 cm (0.87″). The depth is 3.7 cm (1.46″) and this pipe weights 43 gr. Briar, vulcanite stem, no filter. There are a few small chips and scratches patched on the bowl. The chamber has been protected with a break-in coat.
