England An absolutely convincing large & heavy English bent pipe. Such the stamping (MADE IN LONDON \ ENGLAND) was used by many great makers including Parker-Hardcastle and Orlik, we don’t have a convincing proof of the specific pipe manufacturer.
Italy, 1930s The pipe from a recently obtained pre WWII collection. The “Roma” brand is usually associated with Savinelli, therefore we can’t exclude this is an early Savinelli product. In any case it’s a great pipe for its age, very moderately and accurately smoked, rich sandblast texture promises wonderful heat-resistance. Nice finding!
