Westminster Junior

Westminster Junior

USA

There was a variety of Westminster pipes produced on both sides of the Atlantic, but the stamping “Foreign made” tells it’s rather an American product, thus the list of possible manufacturers includes James B. Hall, Westminster NYC, L&H Sterns – we can’t say for sure. Just a compact, nice, moderately smoked and affordable American briar pipe.

The pipe markings are “WESTMINSTER \ JUNIOR \ FOREIGN MADE”. The length is 13.2 cm (5.2″), bowl’s height is 3.7 cm (1.46″). External diameter of the bowl is 3.0 cm (1.18″), internal diameter is 1.8 cm (0.71″). The depth is 3.2 cm (1.26″) and this pipe weights 24 gr. Briar, vulcanite stem (very lightly patched, you may identify the trace under a bright light), no filter. The button area has some inclination therefore looks a bit strange, nevertheless the stem sits reliably and can be comfortably used.
