Denmark A solid and comfortable Danish style billiard made by Erik Nørding company from Denmark. As an engineer, a blacksmith, a carver and a production manager, Erik found perhaps the best balance between production volumes and quality standards (unlike many other manufacturers). A wonderful example!
England, 1946-67 A nice and practical Hardcastle’s pipe from the early “”Dunhill” era of the Hardcastle’s history, it was born in the period from 1956 to 1967, i.e. at the time of a harmonious merge of “family” technologies and Dunhill management.
England, 1946-67 Argyle is obviously the Savory’s brand, but it seems that the pipe comes from the time, when both Savory and Hardcastle did belong to the Dunhill family and there were no objections to make a “Hardcastle’s Argyle”. This is really a nice pipe with a very stylish (Hardcastle’s) “weighted” bent shape and a…
England, 1930s A very good and well preserved pipe from the legendary Hardcastle’s family times, i.e. made before acquisition by Dunhill in 1946 (and the most likely before the WWII). Moderately smoked elegant classical English prince pipe! Sincerely recommended!
Ireland A pleasant lightly smoked Peterson pipe from the new (republic) era. The pipe was smoked only a few times and didn’t required too much effort for restoration and refreshing. Good addition to any collection!
England A pretty nice, moderately smoked and unusually balanced Redman’s middle size and middle grade billiard approximately from 1960-70’s. The shape with such a proportion of the stummel and the stem looks a bit provocative, but in fact many Redman pipes were made in very provocative shapes and finishes at that time.
England A wonderful impressive and really laaaarge classical bent pipe of the one of the highest grades produced by John Redman factory in the second half of the XX century. The “Aristocrat” series was destined for export and the company introduced such a enlarged version of this grade to satisfy more USA customers which respected…
England A family era (Pre Lane) Charatan’s pipe of a very uncommon and stylish shape. More precisely the pipe belongs to the Rueben’s era (1910-1960) and very probably it was made before the WWII – such the “cutty” shape was both a tribute to old good English clay pipes and a symbol of the succession…
England, 1950-70s A “special edition” of one of the most successful GBD Prehistoric series. The designation “Conquest” (along with “Collector” and “Colossus”) served for marking of especially large pipes. At the same time the name Collector is really justified: pipe smokers from many countries (and furthermore refined collectors) appreciate and extol such convincingly large pipes….
England, 1950-70s A “special edition” of one of the very interesting GBD series with a combined finish. The designation “Collector” (along with “Conquest” and “Colossus”) served for marking of especially large pipes. At the same time the name Collector is really justified: pipe smokers from many countries (and furthermore refined collectors) appreciate and extol such…
