SAVINELLI Hand Made

SAVINELLI Hand Made (Autograph)

Italy

There’s a very interesting and very rare Savinelli pipe with the crowned snake logo on the stem. Such logos were noticed only to “Had made” and “Rock Grain” pipes and it seems the Hand Made ones were a second of the Savinelli’s luxurious Autograph line. It sounds quite reasonable, especially because “HAND MADE” was stamped over “SAVINELLI AUTOGRAPH” on this pipe. Enthusiasts from pipedia noticed also that the “serpent” logo is highly reminiscent of Milan’s ancient city crest, which was adopted from the Visonti coat of arms.

The original acrylic stem has a few small hairline cracks closer to the tennon.  They seemingly are not going to increase, but just in case we’ve made an additional vulcanite stem for you. The pipe markings are “HAND \ MADE”, “SAVINELLI \ AUTOGRAPH”, “ITALY”. The length is 13.5 cm (5.31″) and the bowl’s height is 5.2 cm (2.05″). External diameter of the bowl is 4.8 cm (1.89″), internal diameter is 2.2 cm (0.87″). The depth is 4.3 cm (1.69″) and this pipe weighs 74 gr with the acrylic stem and 76 gr. with the vulcanite one. Briar, acrylic 6 mm enabled and filterless vulcanite stems.
