SAVINELLI Leonardo Ala Battente

SAVINELLI Leonardo Ala Battente

Italy, 2007-2015

“Savinelli started in 2007 a series dedicated to Leonardo Da Vinci. For nine years Savinelli has designed an exclusive model, related it to a drawing made by the Italian genius. Each pipe was produced in limited number with the reproduction of the draw in silver, applied to the shank”. These pipes “… are no longer reproducible. Together with each pipe there is its corresponding pipe companion with depicted the drawing in silver color”. (Savinelli)

The pipes are dedicated to: BALESTRA (crossbow), GIOCHI DI LUCE (games of light), UOMO VITRUVIANO (vitruvian man), CAVALLO (horse), MONNA LISA, BOMBARDA (bombards), ALA BATTENTE (swinging wing), AUTORITRATTO (self portrait) and CLAVI VIOLA (keyboard violin).

So if you’re still missing the “Swinging Wing” pipe in your collection or would like to start collecting the Leonardo series – this pipe is for you!

The pipe marking is “SAVINELLI \ Leonardo”, “A”, “ITALY”. The length is 15.1 cm (5.94″), bowl’s height is 4.9 cm (1.93″). External dimensions of the bowl are 4.8 x 4.1 cm (1.89 x 1.61″), internal diameter is 2.0 cm (0.79″). The depth is 3.7 cm (1.46″) and this pipe weights XX gr. Briar, acrylic stem, 9 mm filter.
