The brand was founded in 1900 and integrated to Parker-Hardcastle Ltd in 1967. This example dates from the 1930’s.

The pipe is 15.5 cm long, 5.4 cm tall and  weights 34 gr. The bowl’s external diameter is 3.5 cm, inner – 2.2 cm,  inner depth – 4.5 cm.The marking is “Masta Patent Standard 513”.Vulcanite stem, no filter, the bowl has been protected with the carbon break in paste.

  1. What is “break-in paste” and how does it protect the bowl. I’ve been smoking & refurbishing pipes for a couple years, but still have a universe of information to learn.
