PETERSON'S Dublin 2 1921

PETERSON’S Dublin 2

Ireland, 1921

Unfortunately, the year mark on the silver collar is a little weak, but a thorough analysis and comparison with the hallmark charts suggest that this should be the title letter F, corresponding to 1921. Also, pay attention to the absence of the COM stamp (‘Country of Manufacture’). According to Pipedia, this is characteristic of most Peterson pipes made in the period from 1875 to 1922, which also corresponds to our assumption.

Pipe markings “PETERSON \ DUBLIN 2”, “PETERSON \ DUBLIN”
Length 15.0 cm (5.9″)
Bowl Height 3.3 cm (1.3″)
Outside Diameter 3.7 cm (1.46″)
Chamber Diameter 1.7 cm (0.67″)
Chamber Depth 2.7 cm (1.06″)
Weight 26 gr.

Briar, vulcanite stem (carefully patched near the button – the trace is visible in good light), no filter. There were several scratches and dents on the pipe, so we had to slightly correct the top of the bowl.

The pipe was accurately smoked, it has been thoroughly cleaned, polished, sanitized and now is ready for a new life.
