JAMES UPSHALL Tilshead 6

England, 1984-96

An eye-catching and unique, large and capacious pipe, meticulously designed by the former top Charatan carver, Barry Jones, for the esteemed James Upshall Pipe Company. This exceptional creation seamlessly combines high-quality briar with a mesmerizing grain, skillfully carved into an alluring shape. Our estimation places this pipe between 1984 and 1996, as evidenced by the absence of a logo on the mouthpiece, alongside a size designation on the pipe, with the stamping appearing to be pantographed.

Pipe markings “TILSHEAD \ ENGLAND, “6”, “MADE BY HAND”
Length 14.6 cm (5.75″)
Bowl Height 5.6 cm (2.2″)
Outside Diameter 4.2 cm (1.65″)
Chamber Diameter 2.2 cm (0.87″)

The pipe came to us in generally excellent condition, we had only to patch a small dent on the front of the bowl.

The pipe was accurately smoked, it has been thoroughly cleaned, polished, sanitized and now is ready for a new life.
