DUNHILL Dress 4109

England, 2002

Dunhill Dress pipes are relatively young; the series was introduced in 1973 and is distinguished by dark (in the most cases black) smooth finish. Despite dark stain hides natural briar grain the “Dress” pipes look luxury indeed!

The pipe markings are “(dunhill)”, “4109”, “DRESS \ MADE IN ENGLAND 02”. The length is 13.9 cm (5.47″), bowl’s height is 4.6 cm (1.81″). External diameter of the bowl is 3.5 cm (1.38″), internal diameter is 2.0 cm (0.79″). The depth is 4.0 cm (1.57″) and this pipe weights 34 gr. Briar, vulcanite stem, no filter. The air hole drilling looks just a little bit off center, but of course it still fitted quality control requirements on the factory.
