In the beginning Dunhill created Bruyere. And several years (1910-1917) it was the single brand made by the company of a firm and dense Calabrian briar. And though pre WWII “bruyeres” were marked just by a letter “A” instead of model, the Bruyere series is the one of the oldest long-livers not only in the Dunhill family, but also among all pipes in general. Lightweight and graceful pot from 1979.

The pipe markings are “DUNHILL BRUYERE”, “21061”, “MADE IN \ ENGLAND 19”. The length is 14.3 cm, bowl’s hight is 3.1 cm. External and internal diameters of the bowl are 3.3 cm and 1.8 cm. The depth is 2.8 cm and this pipe weights 18 gr. Briar, vulcanite stem, no filter . The chamber has been protected with the break in coat.

England, 1969 That’s a very rare sample of the Dunhill Shell Briar pipes stamped with a letter shape code instead of a number. Such codes were used at times prior to 1976 (according to Pipephil) and the shape “P” corresponds to “1/2 bent bulldog”. A unique collector’s finding!

England, 1988 One of the largest (Group size 5) Dunhill pipes of the oldest and most popular series and very successful “Diplomat” shape. The pipe was born in 1983, but looks very young and fresh and as for its age. Highly recommended!
