DUNHILL Cumberland 52264, 1980

DUNHILL Cumberland 52264, 1980

England, 1980

The “Cumberland” series is relatively young in comparison to other lines – it was introduced in 1979 and named in honor of Cumberland Street – the street where production and warehouse capacities of the company existed comfortably for many years. But such brindle ebonite stems (“cumberland” stems – also a Dunhill’s invention!) make the series one of the best sellers and an objects of a highest attention of Dunhill admirers.

The pipe markings are “52264”, “DUNHILL CUMBERLAND \ MADE IN ENGLAND 20”. The length is 14.5 cm (5.71″), bowl’s height is 5.4 cm (2.12″). External diameter of the bowl is 4.3 cm (1.69″), internal diameter is 2.0 cm (0.79″). The depth is 4.3 cm (1.69″) and this pipe weights 67 gr. Briar, cumberland stem, no filter. The chamber has normal moderately smoked wear without any major issues.

England, 1988 One of the largest (Group size 5) Dunhill pipes of the oldest and most popular series and very successful “Diplomat” shape. The pipe was born in 1983, but looks very young and fresh and as for its age. Highly recommended!
