BEWLAY Popular 01

England

What’s good about English tobacconists is the possibility to get a pipe of a great brand for very democratic price in theirs shops. On the other hand it’s sometimes quite hard to say who actually made a specific pipe.

As an example here’s an excellent canadian Bewlay pipe. The Bewlay house was supplied by Charatan, Barling and Loewe. In our opinion it could be a product of Charatan or Barling (judging from the shape and the stem’s specifics). Even eminent gurus are unable to say more. So our opinions are dispersed 50 / 50.

However this aura of riddle makes the pipe even more attractive. And don’t forget its magnificent grain and very small weight! Undoubtedly recommended!

The pipe markings are “Bewlay \ POPULAR”, “LONDON MADE 0\ 01”. The length is 14.0 cm, bowl’s hight is 4.2 cm. External and internal diameters of the bowl are 2.7 cm and 2.0 cm. The depth is 3.6 cm and this pipe weights 21 gr. Briar, vulcanite stem.
