PETERSON’S Sherlock Holmes "Squire"

PETERSON Sherlock Holmes “Squire”

Ireland, 2007

A pipe from the luxury 7-pipes series initiated by Peterson’s in 1987 to honour Sir Arthur Conan Doyle characters: Sherlock Holmes Original, Watson, Squire, Professor, Deerstalker, Baskerville and Baker Street. Soon after the “Original” series success an additional “The Return of Sherlock Holmes” collection was launched with the 7 additional shapes: The Mycroft, Hudson, Strand, Rathbone, Lestrade, Hansom, and the Milverton. So, it seems Peterson’s made their adorers quite busy for the next century ?

This time it’s the “Squire” (Peterson shape XL15) with the original box.

The pipe markings are “Peterson \ OF DUBLIN \ SHERLOCK \ HOLMES”, “”SQUIRE”, “PETERSON STERLING SILVER” and silver hallmarks with the “W” letter on the collar what indicates 2007. The length is 14.3 cm (5.63″), bowl’s hight is 4.8 cm (1.89″). External diameter of the bowl is 4.9 cm (1.93″), internal diameter is 2.2 cm (0.87″). The depth is 3.4 cm (1.34″) and this pipe weights 59 gr. Briar, vulcanite stem, 9 mm filter.
