GARDESANA B 301

GARDESANA B 301

Italy

Gardesana Pipe SNC di Fiorenzo Rovera e.C. SNC produces machine-made series pipes in numerous lines and finishes. The jugdements on them range from “smokeable” to “excellent for the price” (up to appr. $100 for the better lines). Gardesana produces the HIS (Hugo International Series) pipes, too.

The shape seems to be inspired by Danish pipe makers. Also as far we can understand the nomenclature contains both the shape number (301) and the grade letter (where “A” is higher than “B”). The pipe has been restored to order.

The pipe marking is “GARDESANA”, “B 301”. The length is 12.8 cm (5.04″), bowl’s height is 4.9 cm (1.93″). External diameter of the bowl is 4.1 cm (1.61″), internal diameter is 2.1 cm (0.83″). The depth is 4.0 cm (1.57″) and this pipe weights 55 gr. Briar, vulcanite stem, 9 mm filter.
