“Ronson, as the Inventor of the modern lighter, has a long and distinguished heritage. The Ronson Brand name is synonymous with expertly engineered products, unique and innovative designs and offering the consumer a desirable quality”.

The company formed in the USA in 1886 as “Art Metal Company” and has been successfuly producing and supplying art metal works, first of all – very good quality Hood Ornaments. In 1913 Louis Aronson, one of the cofounders, invented and applied for a patent for an automatic pocket lighter. The new product became popular and respected very quickly and soon every smoker knows the name Ronson as the Brand of exquisite lighters and lighter accessories.

Perhaps this pipe can be considered as a lighter accessory too, why not? The most probably it was ordered by the Ronson UK division at one of English manufacturers.

The pipe markings are “RONSON (R) \ MADE IN \ ENGLAND”. The length is 14.3 cm (5.63″), rusticated bowl’s height is 3.3 cm (1.3″). External diameter of the bowl is 3.8 cm (1.5″), internal diameter is 1.8 cm (0.71″). The depth is 2.4 cm (0.94″). Smooth bowl’s height is 3.3 cm (1.3″). External diameter of the bowl is 3.2 cm (1.26″), internal diameter is 1.8 cm (0.71″). The depth is 2.4 cm (0.94″).and this pipe weights 39 gr.with the rusticated bowl and 37 gr. with the smooth bowl. Briar, aluminium shank, vulcanite stem, no filter. The smooth bowl had a few small chips carefully and reliably patched during the restoration.
