Italy, 1970s

No need to search for a photo of the marking here—the logo with the famous “moustache” on the mouthpiece clearly identifies it as a Caminetto pipe. This compact and practical design from the 1970s was created by the distinguished trio of Giuseppe Ascorti (whose son, Roberto, later made the family name famous with his own brand), Luigi Radice (who also went on to achieve recognition with his own pipes), and Gianni Davoli (who did not create a personal brand but was a highly respected organizer and entrepreneur).

Pipe markings “Caminetto”, “S”
Length 13.9 cm (5.47″)
Bowl Height 4.8 cm (1.89″)
Outside Diameter 4.1 cm (1.61″)
Chamber Diameter 2.2 cm (0.87″)
Chamber Depth 3.9 cm (1.54″)
Weight 54 gr.

Briar, acrylic stem, no filter.

The pipe is not for sale. It was restored to order and has already started a new life in a new cozy home.
