Whilst John Redman’s higher-end models, such as the Royal, Special, or Aristocrat, were often characterised by unconventional shapes and very striking dimensions, clearly reflecting changing consumer tastes in the second half of the 20th century, the pipes from the Redonian series fundamentally continued to adhere to a traditional understanding of classic shapes and sizes, designed for conservative smokers of strong tobacco or, at the very least, non-flavoured tobaccos. But of course, the craftsmen could not resist adding a touch of their own distinctive design signature.
