Yet another one pipe from the luxury 7-pipes series initiated by Peterson’s in 1987 to honour Sir Arthur Conan Doyle characters: Sherlock Holmes Original, Watson, Squire, Professor, Deerstalker, Baskerville and Baker Street. Soon after the “Original” series success an additional “The Return of Sherlock Holmes” collection was launched with the 7 additional shapes: The Mycroft, Hudson, Strand, Rathbone, Lestrade, Hansom, and the Milverton. So, it seems Peterson’s made their adorers quite busy for the next century ?

This time it’s the “Watson” (Peterson shape XL17).

The pipe marking is “Peterson \ OF DUBLIN \ SHERLOCK \ HOLMES”, “WATSON” on the stummel, “Peterson’s STERLING SILVER” and silver hallmarks with the italic “W” for 2007 on the collar. The length is 13.0 cm (5.12″), bowl’s height is 5.7 cm (2.24″). External diameter of the bowl is 4.5 cm (1.77″), internal diameter is 2.1 cm (0.83″). The depth is 4.7 cm (1.85″) and this pipe weights 74 gr. Briar, vulcanite stem, 9 mm filter. The bowl surface has a few not very noticeable scratched and identations, but we’ve decided to keep the unique original finish of this beautyful pipe.
