In fact Peterson’s Mark Twain series launched firstly in 1981 was inspired by two great smokers: personally Mr. Samuel Clemens known as a dedicated admirer of Peterson pipes (more precisely: Charles Peterson Patent pipes) and Mr. Huck Finn’ who smoked corncob pipes. Therefore the set traditionally consist of two pipes: one Peterson System and one poker which in this case is a tribute to the glorious tradition of corncob smoking.

The pipe markings are “Peterson \ OF DUBLIN \ MARK TWAIN”. The hallmarks on the collar are difficult to read, but we guess the year’s letter is the Italic “Z”, what corresponds to 2010.The length is 14.0 cm (5.51″), bowl’s height is 4.8 cm (1.89″). External diameter of the bowl is 4.1 cm (1.61″), internal diameter is 2.2 cm (0.87″). The depth is 3.4 cm (1.34″) and this pipe weights 68 gr. Briar, vulcanite stem, 9 mm filter. Attention: the pipe was too intensively reamed by the previous owner, we have accurately corrected the ream after that, but the walls of the chamber are noticeably “barrel-shaped”.
