JOHN REDMAN Golden Square

The pipe named after a very nice London place – the Golden Square located between the Upper John and Lower John streets in the city center. The most of the Redman pipes bear such topological signs and of course the popular middle range series was highly appreciated by consumers both due to smoking qualities and due to English people’s unsurpassed patriotism and pride in their homeland.

Another interesting detail. This is already not the first Redman’s pipe marked “expressly for Pogues” which arrived to us from USA. It seems a batch of pipes was produced especially for an American tobacconist and of course they were specially stamped for the reseller. What a nice example of the international cooperation!

The pipe markings are “GOLDEN SQUARE \ LONDON MADE”, “MADE IN ENGLAND \ EXPRESSLY FOR POGUES”. The length is 15.5 cm (6.1″), bowl’s height is 4.7 cm (1.85″). External diameter of the bowl is 3.7 cm (1.46″), internal diameter is 1.9 cm (0.75″). The depth is 3.9 cm (1.54″) and this pipe weights 34 gr. Briar, vulcanite stem, no filter.
