JOHN REDMAN Buckingham bent

England

A quite rare series produced at John Redman factory in London in the middle of the XX century. Some people mistake Redman’s Buckingham for the Sasieni line under the same name. No wonder – both manufacturers represented famous English pipe carving tradition and succesfully combined traditional shapes and their own approach and innovations. Classical English middle size and upper middle range pipe with amazing hairline grain!

The pipe markings are “Buckingham \ London Made”, “ENGLAND””. The length is 12.8 cm (5.04″), bowl’s height is 4.4 cm (1.73″). External diameter of the bowl is 4.0 cm (1.57″), internal diameter is 2.0 cm (0.79″). The depth is 3.6 cm (1.42″) and this pipe weights 43 gr. Briar, vulcanite stem, aluminium air cooler. The chamber has been protected with a bowl coat.

The pipe doesn’t have a shape number, it seems it…
