The origin of the Jobey brand is a kind of a mystery. The most probably the company was founded in the beginning of the XX century, but there is a contradictory opinion about a mother country of Jobey pipes. Most sources believe Jobey was an English founded company switched soon to production in USA. Some other enthusiasts found a saga story of Jobey brothers from Brooklyn. Regardless its origin the company changed a number of owners and producers in the course of time. In 1970s the majority of Jobey pipes were manufactured in St Claude, France. But at the same time a series of fabulous free hand pipes of a really Danish style were made in Denmark, most probably by Karl Erik Ottendahl – Jobey DANSK.

The pipe markings are “Jobey \ DANSK \ MADE IN DENMARK \ 3”. The length is 18.0 cm (7.09″), bowl’s height is 5.7 cm (2.24″). External dimensions of the bowl are 4.7 x 5.7 cm (1.85″ x 2.24″), internal diameter is 2.2 cm (0.87″). The depth is 3.6 cm (1.42″) and this pipe weights 50 gr. Briar, vulcanite stem, no filter. The chamber has been protected with a break-in coat.
