England, 1950-70s
The highest grade GBD pipe was made in the 1950-70s, but definitely before the acquisition of the company by Cadogan. Everlasting classical shape and great lightweight briar make the pipe an incomparable addition to any collection.
The pipe markings are “(GBD) \ Pedigree”, “LONDON ENGLAND \ 293”. The length is 14.1 cm (5.55″) and the bowl’s height is 4.5 cm (1.77″). External diameter of the bowl is 3.1 cm (1.22″), internal diameter is 1.9 cm (0.75″). The depth is 4.0 cm (1.57″) and this pipe weighs 27 gr. Briar, vulcanite stem, no filter. The pipe was moderately smoked and well preserved.
