FRIBOURG & TREYER unsmoked

FRIBOURG & TREYER unsmoked

England, 1960-70s

If we had to describe an ideal vacation we would express many ideas, but one of the most attractive intentions would be to go in the year, say, 1974 to London and visit Fribourg & Treyer pipe shop at 34, Haymarket. It would be really amazing to look at their pipes, to test their tobacco and to buy some calabash, churchwardens, beautiful straight grain pipes for old 1974 year prices.

We already have mentioned F&T at our site but if there’s a good opportunity – why don’t recall this great name? Moreover, the pipe we represent today is really good classical billiard, unsmoked and with a great grain! We do suspect many modern pipe manufacturers would call this pipe high grade if they made something similar.

The pipe marking is ” \ REJECT”. The length is 14.9 cm, bowl’s hight is 4.3 cm. External and internal diameters of the bowl are 2.7 cm and 1.8 cm. The depth is 3.6 cm and this pipe weights 27 gr. Briar, vulcanite stem, no filter.

  • SAVINELLI Long John 802

Italy, unsmoked One of the famous incredibly long Savinelli pipes from the “Long John” series. It’s hardly possible to date the pipe precisely, the only thing we can say for sure: it’s an “after 1970” product: the shape number consists of three digids. And it seems the pipe was stored in the unsmoked condition at…
