DUNHILL Dress 922

DUNHILL Dress 922

England, 1993

Dunhill Dress pipes are relatively young; the series was introduced in 1973 and it is distinguished by the dark (in the most cases black) smooth finish. Despite dark stain hides natural briar grain the “Dress” pipes look luxury indeed!

The pipe markings are “DUNHILL \ DRESS”, “922”, “MADE IN \ ENGLAND 33”, “9 MM”, “(5)”. The length is 15.3 cm (6.02″), bowl’s height is 4.9 cm (1.93″). External diameter of the bowl is 3.7 cm (1.46″), internal diameter is 2.1 cm (0.83″). The depth is 4.2 cm (1.65″) and this pipe weights 49 gr. Briar, vulcanite stem, 9 mm filter. The stem is newly made of the fresh piece of vulcanite so we can consider the pipe as a “partially unsmoked” :-).
