In fact, a lovat shape pipe is creation of the British militarism. The shape was initiated in early XX century and they say Colonel Henry Fraser, Lord Lovat smoked such pipes and the name was adopted in his honour. Several trustworthy sources of information state that Gerald Grundging & Company stamped the name of Lord Lovat on the pipes of this shape.

The pipe is approximately from 1930s, in a good condition. Markings are: “Colonel Henry Fraser Lovat Pipe” and “London Made”. The pipe is 12.4 cm long, 4.0 cm tall and weights 23 gr. The bowl’s external diameter is 2.8 cm, inner – 2.0 cm, inner depth – 3.4 cm. Vulcanite stem, no filter, the bowl has been protected with the carbon break in paste.
