CHACOM Lupenrein 309

CHACOM Lupenrein 309

France

“Lupenrein” is a German word meaning “flawless”, “perfect”, “clean” (f.e. “clean diamond”) and we really couldn’t identify any issues with briar. Also interesting that the number 309 for such canadian shape pipes was widely used by Comoy’s during its best times and we suspect even refined experts couldn’t distinguish the pipe and English made Comoy’s 309 pipes. And that has an explanation too: both companies have the same origin (in fact Chacom stands for “Chapuis-Comoy”). The specific large’n’heavy air cooler hints the pipe comes from 1950s or earlier times.

Pipe markings “CHACOM \ LUPENREIN”, “309”
Length 16.2 cm (4.45″)
Bowl Height 4.7 cm (0.9″)
Outside Diameter 3.6 cm (0.9″)
Chamber Diameter 2.2 cm (0.55″)

The pipe was accurately smoked, it has been thoroughly cleaned, polished, sanitized and now is ready for a new life.
