The history of Briarcraft began in 1910 in the State of New York and was rather short (the company existed till 1950), but really bright and memorable. In the pre WWII years Briarcraft was one of leaders of the USA pipe market, the second manufacturer after Frank’s Mediko company. Briarcraft pipes were highly appreciated and sold up – thanks to quality of material (the best aged briar from North Africa) and to technical innovations invented by the manufacturer, such as patented Smokemaster technology, which allowed to clean air hole in the process of smoking. This pipe from the Sterling Hall series is an example of Briarcraft production before the World War II. A still unsmoked collectable pipe!

The pipe markings are “Sterling Hall \ BY Briarcraft”, “Aged Imported Briar”, “44”. The length is 13.5 cm (5.31″), bowl’s height is 4.2 cm (1.65″). External diameter of the bowl is 3.2 cm (1.26″), internal diameter is 1.8 cm (0.71″). The depth is 3.5 cm (1.38″) and this pipe weights 31 gr. Briar, vulcanite stem, no filter.
