England, 1930s

The pipe obtained with a collection of very interesting pre WWII English and American pipes. We’d like to draw your attention to the absense of any size stamps on the pipe, these size stamps were really rare before the WWII and became frequently used and expanded only in the 1940s. Fantastic pipe in pristine condition for its age!

The pipe markings are “BARLING’S \ MAKE \ YE OLDE WOOD”. The length is 13.4 cm (5.28″), bowl’s height is 4.5 cm (1.77″). External diameter of the bowl is 4.0 cm (1.57″), internal diameter is 1.8 cm (0.71″). The depth is 3.7 cm (1.46″) and this pipe weights 37 gr. Briar, vulcanite stem, no filter. The chamber has a few not critical scratches made by a cleanig tool, but looks very moderately and accurately smoked. The “Barling” cross logo on the stem is a bit buffed out, but still visible under a good light.
