BARLING Londoner 6635

England, 1970s

The Londoner line was introduced already after the acquisition of the Barling family business by Imperial Tobacco. But after some time the production of most pipes including the Londoner series was moved to other countries such as Italy, Denmark and France. Therefore our pipe is quite rare because it has been made still in England. Pleasant and lightly smoked Barling bent pipe from the corporate era!

The pipe markings are “Barling \ LONDON ENGLAND \ LONDONER”, “6635”. The length is 14.3 cm (5.63″), bowl’s height is 5.1 cm (2.01″). External diameter of the bowl is 4.2 cm (1.65″), internal diameter is 2.1 cm (0.83″). The depth is 4.2 cm (1.65″) and this pipe weights 62 gr. Briar, vulcanite stem, no filter. The stummel had a number of scratches, chips and fills which were carefully and reliably fixed during the restoration. The pipe comes with the original box and sleeve (the sleeve has already some discoloration after many years of storage).
